 But apparently, not so much! And not just because he loves to distort the law to make life miserable for countless residents of the Lone Star State!

The Texas Tribune reports that the AG “fled his home” on Monday in order to avoid being a served a subpoena for a lawsuit over Texas’s draconian abortion law

. According to process server Ernesto Martin Herrera, when he first knocked on Paxton’s door and said that he was there to deliver a legal document to the attorney general

“As soon as he saw me and heard me call his name out, he turned around and RAN back inside the house through the same door in the garage,”

Later, Paxton claimed on Twitter that his quick departure had nothing to do with dodging a subpoena and everything to do with fearing for his family‘s safety.
